Our Sustainable Lifecycle Process
Berwyn is a close-in west suburb famous for its bungalow belt — block after block of classic Chicago-style brick bungalows.
1. Repair & Refurbish
Our first priority is always extending the life of the machine. If a unit has potential to make a come back, our team fixes, cleans, and refurbishes it so it can be safely reused.
2. Harvest & Recycle Parts
If an appliance is beyond repair, we don't throw it away. We carefully dismantle the unit to salvage valuable functional components, electronics, and mechanical parts to keep other household appliances running.
3. Responsible Scrap Salvage
As a strict last resort, machines that are completely stripped or entirely unusable are broken down into raw commodities. We separate the metals and materials safely, selling them as scrap to local recycling facilities.
Appliance Pickup in Berwyn: What to Know
Berwyn's bungalow belt is one of the largest collections of Chicago-style brick bungalows anywhere — and every one of them has a basement with narrow stairs. Appliance removal here is a specialized skill, and local partners know these homes inside and out.
The city's vintage housing means vintage appliances — heavy old washers, basement freezers from decades past, and water heaters well past their prime. Partners here handle the tight corners and low clearances routinely.
Berwyn's sanitation service requires advance arrangement for appliances, with alley set-out rules. A partner pickup skips the arrangement — they carry it out for you.
