Our Sustainable Lifecycle Process
Wheaton is the DuPage County seat, a family-oriented suburb with a charming downtown and established neighborhoods.
1. Repair & Refurbish
Our first priority is always extending the life of the machine. If a unit has potential to make a come back, our team fixes, cleans, and refurbishes it so it can be safely reused.
2. Harvest & Recycle Parts
If an appliance is beyond repair, we don't throw it away. We carefully dismantle the unit to salvage valuable functional components, electronics, and mechanical parts to keep other household appliances running.
3. Responsible Scrap Salvage
As a strict last resort, machines that are completely stripped or entirely unusable are broken down into raw commodities. We separate the metals and materials safely, selling them as scrap to local recycling facilities.
Appliance Pickup in Wheaton: What to Know
Wheaton's tree-lined neighborhoods range from historic homes near downtown and Wheaton College to post-war subdivisions and newer builds on the south side. Most homes have basements — and the aging freezers and second refrigerators that come with them.
The area's families keep homes for decades, which means when appliances finally get replaced, they're often very old indeed. Partners here are used to heavy, vintage units and tight basement stairs.
Wheaton's refuse program requires stickers and advance scheduling for appliances. A partner pickup skips the stickers — they handle the full carry-out.
