Free Appliance Pickup & Recycling in Cambria, CA
Need to clear out an old machine or replace a broken unit? Tell us what needs to go and submit your local removal request right here in Cambria and surrounding neighborhoods.
Our Sustainable Lifecycle Process
Cambria is a pine-shaded village on the north coast of San Luis Obispo County, with the Moonstone Beach boardwalk, artist studios and leafy hillside neighborhoods.
1. Repair & Refurbish
Our first priority is always extending the life of the machine. If a unit has potential to make a come back, our team fixes, cleans, and refurbishes it so it can be safely reused.
2. Harvest & Recycle Parts
If an appliance is beyond repair, we don't throw it away. We carefully dismantle the unit to salvage valuable functional components, electronics, and mechanical parts to keep other household appliances running.
3. Responsible Scrap Salvage
As a strict last resort, machines that are completely stripped or entirely unusable are broken down into raw commodities. We separate the metals and materials safely, selling them as scrap to local recycling facilities.
Appliance Pickup in Cambria: What to Know
Cambria's neighborhoods — Lodge Hill, Fern Canyon and the streets around the East and West Villages — sit under heavy tree cover on sloped lanes. Technicians are used to the terrain, but mention narrow roads or steep driveways in your comments so the visit goes smoothly.
Cambria is a popular second-home and vacation-rental town, so appliances often sit unused for long stretches and fail suddenly between stays. Property managers can clear a dead fridge or washer between bookings with a photo-based request.

What is free
Any appliance that is disconnected and located on the ground floor, in a garage, out on a driveway, or in a yard with clear, flat access.
When a small fee applies
A reasonable labor or handling fee may only apply if a technician has to haul heavy units up or down flights of stairs, remove doors, or extract complex built-in appliances (like built-in refrigerators or hardwired wall ovens). All terms are confirmed with you directly before arrival.
