Free Appliance Pickup & Recycling in Cayucos, CA
Need to clear out an old machine or replace a broken unit? Tell us what needs to go and submit your local removal request right here in Cayucos and surrounding neighborhoods.
Our Sustainable Lifecycle Process
Cayucos is a small beach town between Morro Bay and Cambria, known for its historic pier, quiet beaches and old-fashioned coastal bungalows.
1. Repair & Refurbish
Our first priority is always extending the life of the machine. If a unit has potential to make a come back, our team fixes, cleans, and refurbishes it so it can be safely reused.
2. Harvest & Recycle Parts
If an appliance is beyond repair, we don't throw it away. We carefully dismantle the unit to salvage valuable functional components, electronics, and mechanical parts to keep other household appliances running.
3. Responsible Scrap Salvage
As a strict last resort, machines that are completely stripped or entirely unusable are broken down into raw commodities. We separate the metals and materials safely, selling them as scrap to local recycling facilities.
Appliance Pickup in Cayucos: What to Know
Cayucos is home to only a few thousand people, and many of its houses are decades-old beach cottages with small kitchens, tight garages and limited staging space. Older fridges and washers that finally give out here often have to come out through narrow side doors — a note in your comments helps the technician plan.
Salt air works fast in Cayucos, corroding appliances that sit near the coast or in unheated garages. Even badly rusted units are fine to request; the photos you upload tell the technician exactly what they'll be hauling.

What is free

When a small fee applies
A reasonable labor or handling fee may only apply if a technician has to haul heavy units up or down flights of stairs, remove doors, or extract complex built-in appliances (like built-in refrigerators or hardwired wall ovens). All terms are confirmed with you directly before arrival.
