Request Free PickupOur Sustainable Lifecycle Process
Sausalito is a waterfront Marin town of hillside homes and houseboats, just across the Golden Gate from San Francisco.
1. Repair & Refurbish
Our first priority is always extending the life of the machine. If a unit has potential to make a come back, our team fixes, cleans, and refurbishes it so it can be safely reused.
2. Harvest & Recycle Parts
If an appliance is beyond repair, we don't throw it away. We carefully dismantle the unit to salvage valuable functional components, electronics, and mechanical parts to keep other household appliances running.
3. Responsible Scrap Salvage
As a strict last resort, machines that are completely stripped or entirely unusable are broken down into raw commodities. We separate the metals and materials safely, selling them as scrap to local recycling facilities.
Appliance Pickup in Sausalito: What to Know
Sausalito's hillside streets are famously steep, and many homes are reached by stairs. Describe the access honestly in the comments — difficult carries can carry a small fee, confirmed before the visit.
How This Service Is Funded
Our service is entirely funded by overhauling, refurbishing, and completely rebuilding the appliances we collect. By fixing broken units with new parts and harvesting functional components for reuse, we generate enough value to keep standard local residential removals 100% free of charge.
What is free
Any appliance that is disconnected and located on the ground floor, in a garage, out on a driveway, or in a yard with clear, flat access.
When a small fee applies
A reasonable labor or handling fee may only apply if a technician has to haul heavy units up or down flights of stairs, or extract built-in appliances (like built-in refrigerators or dishwashers). All terms are confirmed with you directly before arrival.
