Free Appliance Pickup & Recycling in El Mirage, AZ
Need to clear out an old machine or replace a broken unit? Tell us what needs to go and submit your local removal request right here in El Mirage and surrounding neighborhoods.
Our Sustainable Lifecycle Process
Old appliances don't belong in the Northwest Valley landfills. Instead of waiting on bulk trash day or hauling a heavy unit yourself, your El Mirage request goes straight to local partners who repair, part out, or responsibly recycle appliances near Rancho El Mirage and the Agua Fria River corridor.
1. Repair & Refurbish
Our first priority is always extending the life of the machine. If a unit has potential to make a come back, our team fixes, cleans, and refurbishes it so it can be safely reused.
2. Harvest & Recycle Parts
If an appliance is beyond repair, we don't throw it away. We carefully dismantle the unit to salvage valuable functional components, electronics, and mechanical parts to keep other household appliances running.
3. Responsible Scrap Salvage
As a strict last resort, machines that are completely stripped or entirely unusable are broken down into raw commodities. We separate the metals and materials safely, selling them as scrap to local recycling facilities.
Appliance Pickup in El Mirage: What to Know
El Mirage began as a farmworker community in the 1930s and grew quickly during the mid-2000s housing boom, when neighborhoods like Rancho El Mirage filled in. Many of the appliances installed then are now reaching the end of their lifespan, so water heaters, washers, and refrigerators from that era make up a lot of requests here.
Water heaters are especially common in El Mirage. The Valley's hard water leaves mineral buildup that shortens their life. If you're replacing one, a photo of the label and where it sits (garage, closet, or outside) helps a partner plan the removal.
Partners recover what they can: working units get refurbished, copper, steel, and aluminum are salvaged, and the rest goes to scrap recyclers instead of the landfill.
